Working in Partnership – Training & Development

For a number of years, Alltrust has been working with our IFA partners to provide additional technical support in the more complex areas of SIPP and SSAS. As many of you will know, we frequently visit with advisers with a view to providing formal or informal training… as well as a catch up over a cup of coffee!

We are conscious that the SIPP and SSAS market has been subject to a significant amount of change over the last 12 – 18 months, ranging from new retirement provisions to fairly dramatic developments in the SIPP Provider market, centring largely on the new FCA Capital Adequacy Requirements, as well as more aggressive interaction by HMRC.

As a firm that relishes a challenge, we have decided that we will attempt to compete in the world of early morning training, with a view to providing advisers with our take on the current challenges the SIPP and SSAS world are seeing, together with a promise of CPD, a bacon roll, and a cup of coffee (this time on us).

We’re delighted to add that in addition to a technical/regulatory feedback from ourselves, a member of the Investment Management team from Charles Stanley Cardiff will also provide an insight into current market conditions, in particular recent industry shifts regarding asset allocation (providing that can be condensed into less than a day!) and the use of Discretionary Fund Management to assist various strategies that clients or advisers may have.

We typically run our training sessions for small groups (no more than a dozen) which we consider helps facilitate discussion and communication. Our intention is to run, initially, two sessions in the Cardiff Area, and two sessions in the Swansea Area, depending on enthusiasm from advisers for this type of gathering – on a first come first served basis.

If it transpires that we are more popular than we think we are, then we will look to run further sessions in other areas as well – both geographical and topical!

The initial sessions will take place at the Holiday Inn, Coryton, Cardiff at 8.00 a.m. on 28th and 29th November. If you are interested in attending, please let me know as soon as possible.

Likewise, if you are interested in attending a session in Swansea please let us know so that we can determine appropriate dates and venues (and suggestions on suitable venues would be welcome!).

If you have any questions please do let me know.
